The Braun IRT 6520 thermometer is used to measure temperature in the ear. It is ideal for medical use both at home and in a professional setting. Its lightweight and ergonomically designed body combines high measurement accuracy with ease of use. It is suitable for measuring the temperature of both children and adults. The thermometer's pre-warmed tip helps eliminate measurement errors. The Age Precision feature adjusts the measurement according to the person's age to provide you with the most accurate readings possible. As a child grows, the definition of what constitutes a fever changes; what is considered a fever in a newborn may be a normal temperature for a four-year-old. Therefore, once you have set the child's age, the thermometer will immediately indicate—right after the measurement—whether the temperature is normal or if the child has a fever. You can select from three age ranges: 0–3 months, 3 months to 3 years, and 3 years and older. Interpreting the results is quick and easy thanks to the color-coded display: green for a normal temperature, yellow for an elevated temperature, and red for a fever.
