Humana O-HP-2 is designed as a PDF (post-discharge formula) and the composition corresponds to the current scientific recommendations (ESPGHAN 2006, Koletzko et al. 2014). The energy and nutrient content is lower than that of premature baby formula and higher than that of common infant formulas. Humana O-HP-2 is suitable for both clinic and home feeding and can be used as a transition to infant formulas.
To support growth, the energy and protein content in Humana O-HP-2 is increased and adapted to the needs of premature babies. The whey protein is broken down into smaller components and is easily digestible and usable due to partial hydrolysis.
Important instructions
Breastfeeding is the best nutrition for your baby. In your child's specific situation, the natural benefits of breastfeeding can be supplemented by feeding a special formula or, on the advice of the doctor, completely replaced. You can feed Humana O-HP-2 from birth - in addition to breast milk or as sole food. You should only switch to regular infant formula after consulting your pediatrician in advance. Please talk to your doctor if you want to use infant formula with non-hydrolyzed protein.
Not suitable for parenteral nutrition.
Use only under medical supervision and as directed by the doctor.
